National Fuel Project Engineer - Erie, PA in Erie, Pennsylvania

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Developing overall project scope based on operational requirements, field conditions, and customer demand in accordance with all federal and state regulatory requirements and internal design specifications
  • Determining construction workspace limits and development of construction alignment sheets
  • Preparing or assisting with the preparation of regulatory permit applications and FERC filing exhibits
  • Development of project schedules
  • Preparation of capital cost estimates and oversite of project spending / cost tracking
  • Material specification and designs to comply with National Fuel standards and DOT 49 CFR 192
  • Coordination of material procurement
  • Preparing RFPs and working with various consulting services
  • Preparation of construction bid documents and hydrostatic pressure test plans
  • Analysis and award of construction contracts
  • Visiting construction sites to oversee construction progress and meet with contractors and inspectors
  • Assisting construction managers with on-site construction management
  • Development and implementation of internal and project specific controls, specifications, procedures, and quality control systems

     

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil or related Engineering discipline
  • The successful candidate must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, proven technical abilities and project management experience
  • Strong computer skills are required
  • The ability to effectively multi-task and demonstrated teamwork skills are also needed

     

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4+ years of relevant Engineering experience
  • Prior experience working with regulatory code and agencies (PHMSA/FERC/PUC/PSC/DEP/DEC) and/or knowledge of metallurgy, welding, corrosion or transmission pipeline facility design and construction is desirable

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The base salary range for this position is $72,000-$112,000.

This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of pay that National Fuel believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job.  The specific base pay offered to a successful applicant will be based primarily on relevant professional experience.  Other components that may be considered include: individual qualifications, licensures, industry specific experience, education and market demands for specialized skills. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors. Exempt positions will also be eligible for an Annual Cash Bonus Plan.
