Speedway LLC Analyst, Property Accounting in Enon, Ohio
Job Overview:
Responsible for a variety of accounting tasks including monthly closeout, accounting reconciliation and financial reporting. Will work with fixed asset accounting and capital budget tracking.
Core Job Responsibilities
Researches and analyzes invoices and Authority for Expenditure (AFE) documents related to capital projects.
Ensures that each project has proper Financial Approval Authority based on established guidelines.
Tracks spending on projects and completes necessary reports and reconciliation.
Completes all accounting functions related to the disposition of assets (retirement, sales, transfers).
Works in conjunction with Construction and Operations to ensure proper tracking and accounting procedures.
Analyzes project expenditures and places them into appropriate asset categories and asset lives.
Enters information into the Fixed Asset System
Assists Fixed Asset Accountants by researching issues and conducting other non-routine tasks.
Assists the department Supervisor on special projects.
Review expense accounts during month close to provide analysis of charges and ensure proper accounting. Other Skills • Advanced skills in Word, Excel and other MS office suite applications
Knowledge of accounting procedures and principals
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to research and resolve issues Eligibility Requirements Must have flexible availability for month-end closeout.
Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree, Accounting preferred or equitant education and experience. 1 - 2 years performing accounting duties
