Universal Robots is now looking for a new colleague to join us to continue the steep growth rate in Universal Robots.

We sell our products through distributors, so you will work in close collaboration with these. Your responsibility is to ensure revenue growth in your territory, which you do through engaging with potential customers. Our primary customers are small and medium sized production companies of all kinds.

This new role is UK based and reports directly to the UK and Ireland Country manager and covers the territory of Scotland and the island of Ireland. As Channel Development Manager you are responsible for increasing the sales in the channel.

Primary tasks in your role will be to:

  • New business development as well as managing the existing distributor network in the territory to increase revenue and grow the business to meet our ambitious growth targets

  • The role is home based but travel will need to be undertaken to meet clients, carry out demonstrations, attend trade shows and support the distributors

    Some travel will be required to meet customers in Ireland on a regular basis to maintain existing connections and developing future business.

    Most important is your drive and personality. If you have the will, energy and passion – together we will secure the success. You need to have some sales and business development experience. You are strong both in working autonomously and in a team. You plan your own time and efforts with support and assistance from the team in sales region. You are used to reporting on progress using a CRM and providing accurate forecasting.

    Further, we would expect you to have:

  • A strong sense of understanding of the value proposition to the end users

  • Experience with structured sales, plans, budgets, pipeline management etc.

  • A strong sense of commercial awareness as well as the ability to present the concept of flexible automation to clients, prospects, and education centers

    Experience in industrial automation, solution/project sales involving technical products would be an advantage. Full technical training will be provided, and the role is supported by a technical support engineer based in the UK.

    Furthermore, experience with indirect sales to distributors is a must.
