Job Description

Currently seeking a CAD Engineer for a full-time temporary to permanent position in East Providence, RI

Responsibilities of CAD Engineer:

-Design progressive tools and dies utilizing SolidWorks CAD

-Meet deadlines while creating accurate and quality designs

-Create 3D models and 2D engineering drawings

-Build up BOM and specification sheet

-Prepare strip layouts, product weight in requested alloys and 2D detailed drawings

-Perform quality checks and modify/improve products to remove defects or improve performance

-Follow mechanical mold design principles to evaluate and confirm plastic molding and metal tooling process

-Provide Tool cost estimates and lead time for production samples

-Create and maintain relationships with outside vendor resources

-Recommend Cad software upgrades and technical webinars or trade shows

-Provide support to other departments when needed

Requirements of CAD Engineer

-Minimum Bachelor s Degree in engineering or related technical field with a focus on CAD.

-Proficient using SolidWorks CAD systems and Microsoft Office software

-Ability to work independently or in a team

-Strong communication and interpersonal skills

-Great leadership skills

-Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and present technical data, documents, information, and design specifications

-Superior attention to detail

-Possess good time management skills

-Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

-Knowledgeable of up-to-date technologies with willingness to keep up with new technologies coming out

Hours: 8:00am-5:30pm Monday-Friday

Pay Rate: $34.00-$40.00/hr
