3 Full Time Seasonal H-2A Jobs available 04/20/2024 - 11/17/2024.
Plant, cultivate, harvest, pack and load vegetables, cooking herbs, seeds and fruits by hand or machine. Crop families include tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, squash, pumpkins, spinach, onion, legumes, grasses, parsley, cabbage, cauliflower, turnips, broccoli and as a minor activity, cooking herbs, seeds and fruits. Use hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, knives and weed eaters. Manually transplant, weed and thin crops. Till and hoe soil and apply mulch. Perform manual shovel work. Harvest vegetables, herbs and fruit. Clean, pack and load harvested products. Construct trellises and repair fences and farm buildings. Participate in irrigation activities, including setting up and operating irrigation equipment and clearing and maintaining irrigation ditches. Apply natural and organic insecticides. Apply fertilizers to crops. Inform farmers or farm managers of crop progress. Identify plants, pests and weeds to determine the selection and application of pesticides and fertilizers. Record information about crops such as yields. As a minor activity, operate, maintain and repair farm vehicles, implements and mechanical equipment including tractor drawn machinery and self propelled machinery. Assist with the care, feeding and slaughtering of chickens and turkeys. Record feed usage and egg yields. Assist with Good Agricultural Practices policies.
