Job Description:
Job Title: Lead Delivery Driver
Department: Regional Bakery
FLSA: Non-Exempt
General Function:
This position will be the “go between” for the Operation Manager and the PM company. Handles driver issues and/or reports driver issues to the Operation Manager. Schedules unexpected maintenance and routine checkups. Serves as PM company contact for everything related to vehicle safety and function.

Positions that Report to you: Delivery Drivers
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Making sure the other drivers/routes depart on time.
Collecting motor vehicle reports (MVR’s) daily.
Coordinating with Preventative Maintenance regarding any vehicles that need serviced according to MVR’s.
Keeping operation managers in the loop of all things related to transportation.
Taking all forms of calls from other drivers emergent or not.
Making sure drivers have resources, logbooks, MVR books, gas card etc.

Education and Experience:
Employees must possess a valid driver’s license, with no DOT restrictions, and be 18 years or older to drive a company vehicle.
Supervisory Responsibilities (Direct Reports):
Supervises Regional Bakery Delivery Drivers.
Physical Requirements:
Visual requirements include: ability to see detail at near range with or without correction.
Must be physically able to perform medium work: occasionally lifting or carrying objects of no more than 50 pounds, with frequent standing, walking, and lifting/carrying of objects of no more than 25 pounds.
Must be able to perform the following physical activities: stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions.
Must be physically able to enter and exit a delivery vehicle many times a day, traverse staircases and other rough terrain to reach.
