The Training Lead is responsible for the management, co-ordination and process improvement for our training and development program. We are looking for a training professional who can develop and expand our training system capabilities and work with the plant team to drive skills improvement and compliance throughout the plant.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Training function at the Dun Laoghaire Plant to ensure that training is planned, effective, consistent and recorded to meet legislative, regulatory and company requirements.

  • Management and development of the Learning Management System to optimize the recording, assigning and tracking of training and to ensure compliance with all requirements.

  • Co-ordinate training requirements for the implementation of new equipment working with operations and the development team.

  • Work closely with people managers to execute training needs analyses and execute relevant training programs and develop relevant curricula.

  • Ensure that standardized methods for delivery, recording and reporting of training associates are in place and are being adhered to across the site.

  • Identify and implement improvements in the training process and systems to ensure a best-in-class approach to training.

  • Manage site training grant application processes.

  • Support the site's continuous improvement program through leading and facilitating events and promoting employee engagement with CI.

  • Coordinate the work schedules of the trainers with the Shift Managers to ensure that Operational training goals and flexibility targets are achieved.

  • Work with Subject Matter Experts in developing training materials and methods for new and changed processes.

  • Supporting the execution of special projects as needed, such as the organization of department-wide trainings/events.

  • Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.

Educational & Experience

  • Third Level Qualification HR/Quality/Production Engineering

  • Lean/Six Sigma qualification desirable but not essential

  • 5 plus years experience in a training position with a key focus on process improvement.

  • Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment is a benefit in this role but we are open to other industries also.

  • Experience managing multiple competing priorities and projects as well as coaching and managing the Training Specialist

  • Excellent PC skills ideally with good working knowledge of MS Office, Photoshop, Learning Mgt Systems & SAP.

  • Experience using E-learning software an advantage.

  • Strong attention to detail, time management and proven ability to multitask effectively.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, training and presentation skills.
