City of Duluth Workforce Development Resource Room Assistant Training - for income eligible older workers age 55 and older (SCSEP) Duluth, MN in Duluth, Minnesota

The Resource Room Assistant will provide support to the professional staff workers assigned to the CareerForce location in Duluth. Training may include the following: The primary responsibility will be to assist customers in using the resources provided in CareerForce. Training will focus on learning how to help customers register to use CareerForce computers, utilize job searching websites, and assist with internet job applications and referrals to unemployment. The intern will assist CareerForce users in creating resumes on Minnesota s Job Bank (Minnesotaworks.net), Microsoft Word or WIN-WAY resume. Training will also be provided in basic customer service duties such as assuring a satisfactory experience with CareerForce, how to direct and refer customers to services, to appointments, and use of a resource room systems. Operated under a USDOL grant and in cooperation with Senior Service America, Inc. The SCSEP Program is an equal opportunity program.
