Enterprise Risk Management is an exciting and evolving space at TIAA. Within ERM we are advancing our risk management program through the use of the Archer GRC platform. We are looking for a seasoned professional to work in the ERM Framework and Operational Risk team focused on enhancing the operational risk program framework and driving process automation within the Archer GRC platform. The incumbent will actively contribute to, and facilitate the strategy, goals and agenda of the ERM Framework and Operational Risk team.
The incumbent will assist in the delivery of software programs including process design and testing. They will ensure specified business needs are documented in a way that ensures the successful development of ERM and Compliance development projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Review, clarify and challenge business requirements provided by ERM program stakeholders and ensure development deliverables are on time. Must be able to interpret written business requirements, functional requirements and technical specification documents to assist in designing and develop technical solutions that meet the business needs
Ensure that transition plans and change management documentation from current to future state are delivered with each solution implementation
Ensure data quality from source systems and assist with designing efficient reporting within Archer and with Tableau
Provide training and instruction to platform users as needed
Interface with the Archer development team on solutions and troubleshooting of system and process issues
Develop strong working relationships with colleagues in Risk Management, businesses, and other control groups to leverage synergies and ensure that we are being efficient and consistent in assessing and reporting risks.
Bachelor’s Degree is required.
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a business analyst or similar role gathering business requirements, working with developers to use those requirements in application program development.
Risk Management knowledge or business controls knowledge is required.
3-5 years solid experience in a risk management, compliance or audit function in the financial services industry with a preference for retirement, life insurance and retail financial services
Experience working effectively with various levels within an organization, including senior-level leadership, professionals and staff.
Experience with Tableau and GRC/ERP systems preferred.
