The Program Assistants will work closely with the Assistant Director of the MOSAIC Multicultural Center to support the success of programs and initiatives in the multicultural center. Students will gain skills in leadership, management, planning, public speaking, event execution, diversity, ethics, multiculturalism, social justice, and much more.
This position welcomes applicants with:
1) an interest in enriching the experiences of historically underserved and marginalized communities,
2) a willingness to develop and gain skills, and
3) the ability to work some evenings/nights.
Job Responsibilities:
Maintain an active presence in the Multicultural Center
Plan and implement at least two programs (one educational and one social) each semester related to diversity and inclusion
Assist with the development and facilitation of academic and personal enrichment workshops and study sessions for students
Serve as a peer mentor to students engaging in Multicultural Center activities
Assist with outreach and marketing materials of programs and events
Serve as a liaison between members of the campus community, specifically, student organizations that have a commitment to cultural and identity awareness
Seek opportunities to work with students and colleagues within the Multicultural Center to plan and implement programs to, for, and about cultural and identity awareness
Assist students that engage with the Multicultural Center in fostering a strong sense of self, strengthen communities, and build alliances with student organizations
Collaborate with campus departments on multicultural efforts and activities (i.e., Living Learning Communities)
Attend mandatory and on-going training throughout the academic year as assigned
Job Requirements:
Must be available to work some evenings and nights, being flexible and reliable
Attend ongoing training as assigned
Set a positive tone for interaction, demonstrating responsibility and respect for others' rights, perspectives, feelings, and diverse background
Willingness and commitment to having an appreciation for cultural diversity, diverse identity and expressions, and ability to work with people of all cultures and identities

Set a positive tone for interaction, demonstrating responsibility and respect for others' rights, perspectives, feelings, and diverse background
Have and maintain a minimum of 2.0 cumulative GPA and be in good judicial standing with the College
Preferred Experience
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Previous experience as a student in a leadership role on campus
Knowledgeable about campus resources for student success
Knowledge using graphic design software such as, but not limited to, Adobe InDesign and Canva.
Experience with using social media as a marketing tool
Additional Information:
Salary: $15/hr
Hours: up to 10 hrs/wk with at least 3-4 evening/night hours
