SUNY Delhi seeks a dynamic, forward-thinking, and engaging faculty member to join the Electrical Program starting Fall 2024. The position is in a two-year Associate Degree program that prepares graduates for employment as electricians and electrical control technicians. Desirable candidates will have credentials to handle a variety of lecture and laboratory courses. SUNY Delhi prides itself on being a welcoming college community for all. Requirements:
Teaching Responsibilities|
Provide evidence-based instruction following the policies set forth by the College
Post and keep regular office hours for the convenience of students
Participate in the assessment of course, student learning, and program outcomes
Incorporate student service learning opportunities
Program Development|
Participate in annual systematic assessment of the program
Participates in analyzing data and makes recommendations for curriculum and programmatic revisions where necessary
Advisement|
Assist in advisement of students
Guide and counsel students toward personal and career development
Track student's completion of progression requirements
Academic & Organization Commitment|
Serve on campus committees
Participate in full and part-time faculty meetings
Participate in accreditation reviews and reports
Engage in the academic and organizational life of the college
Pursue scholarly interests
Job Requirements:
Associate's Degree* and five years of experience as an electrician OR
High school diploma* and fifteen years of experience as an electrician.
NYS driver's license with an acceptable driving record and willingness to transport students to various educationally related activities using college-owned vehicles, including 12-passenger vans
*Note: To secure tenure appointment (after seven years of full-time employment), the selected candidate must obtain a Bachelor's Degree while teaching at SUNY Delhi.

Bachelor's Degree
Experience in teaching or working with young adults
Demonstrated ability to teach diverse populations
Understanding the value of civic engagement
Certifications and/or licensure
Additional Information:
Salary $42,000-$52,000- salary based on education and experience
This is a 10-month academic year, tenure track position
