Position Description:
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of the software test environment for electric machine and power electronics control system. * Responsible for hardware design interface, Simulink modeling and software interface, and test environment setup to support multiple electric drive systems. * Hardware in the loop (HIL) development from requirements gathering to implementation, testing, finalization, issue tracking and debugging. * Responsible for the setup of HIL test environment activities for multiple projects. * Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining test plans, test procedures and documenting test results in reports. * Responsible for reviewing, analyzing and interpreting results from HIL test cases. * Responsible for testing electric machine and power electronics control system to meet DVM requirements for automated DV test operation, fault monitoring, data collection, data storage and data processing. * Develop and execute test-automation software using Python scripts. * Develop and execute unit test cases based on the embedded C software using Unity. * Implement embedded software source code in C, execute software test cases and release software to production. * Support software planning and software release processes. * Assist in the troubleshooting of diagnostic calibration/control issues, both in development and production.
Skills Required:
- Proficient in Python, C, Matlab Simulink, and MS Excel * Excellent teamwork and communication skills * Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks
Skills Preferred:
Understanding of Hybrid / Electric Vehicle operation
Experience Required:
1+ years of experience with ECU validation on the HIL
Experience Preferred:
- Experience with software version control using GitHub * Experience with unit test case implementation using Unity
Education Required:
BS or higher in Electrical/Mechanical/Computer Engineering
