Summary The IT Portfolio Lead is a key role in overseeing the collection of projects and initiatives within Carhartt's IT team. This individual will ensure alignment with strategic goals, manage resources, track progress, mitigate risks, and communicate across teams to deliver successful outcomes while optimizing resource allocation and maintaining a focus on long-term goals.  Additionally, this individual will own and oversee the adoption and change management of IT processes, standards, and templates to ensure IT continues to work in a uniform methodology.

Responsibilities Assumes the central role in overseeing and managing all aspects of the portfolio; takes responsibility for the overall success and delivery of portfolio initiatives. Organizes and leads regular portfolio review sessions to evaluate progress and performance. Conducts quarterly retrospectives to analyze past performance and identify areas for improvement. Facilitates and participates actively in quarterly intake and planning sessions to set strategic goals and priorities. Proactively identifies potential risks and issues that could hinder successful portfolio delivery.  Implements mitigation strategies to address these risks and issues. In partnership with Technical Program Managers, manages interdependencies among portfolio initiatives to ensure they are aligned and harmonized; ensures that the execution of one initiative does not negatively impact others within the portfolio. Serves as a liaison between Product Lines, Shared Services, and the IT Leadership Team. Delivers periodic updates and comprehensive reports at the portfolio level. Keeps stakeholders informed about the current state of portfolio initiatives. Establishes and maintains the portfolio's operational processes and governance framework including standard templates and process documents. Ensures the portfolio and operational processes have the right amount of change management included in their project plans to increase the level of success and adoption.

Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience required in Related Field

Required Skills and Experience Minimum of 8 years of portfolio management or related experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey project objectives, progress updates, and potential issues to various stakeholders Outstanding organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and attention to detail Strong working relationships with IT Leadership Team and technical colleagues Strong understanding of iterative development frameworks and practices Ability to effectively coordinate and manage cross functional work streams
