DeRuwe L&F Inc Farm Worker in Dayton, Washington
+-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Farm Work, Cattle, Truck Driving and Wildlife Habitat Management | | | | Unique opportunity to work outdoors, in local recreational areas, | | where you will be performing a variety of that include but are not | | limited to tractor driving, truck driving, cattle, irrigation, etc. | | In this position you will be working independently, taking primary | | responsibility for care and maintenance of each location. | | | | | | | | Company | | | | You will be working for DeRuwe L&F, Inc., a small family owned wheat | | and cattle operation., that has had the contract for care and | | maintenance of local habitat areas such as Chief Timothy HMU and | | Hells Gate HMU for 30 years. We take pride in the work we do and the | | care we provide. We typically employ between 7 and 10 employees who | | have been with us for a range of 1 to 30 years. This position will | | typically be for 10 months between February and December and in some | | years can provide year-round employment. | | | | Description | | | | The purpose of the position is to have an all around person who can | | drive tractor or truck and help with the cattle, will need to be able | | to spray pesticides. The job will also consist in doing some work for | | our other company (DeRuwe, Inc) that manages habitat sites along the | | Snake River. Some of the primary activities will include the | | following. | | | | - Tractor Driving | | - Truck Driving | | - Noxious weed control | | - Cattle | | - Tree planting | | | | | | | | Requirements | | | | - Must have a CDL | | - Must have some farm or cattle experience | | - Have a valid drivers license (insurable driver) | | - Be able to obtain a commercial pesticide license and boaters | | safety card (Assistance with both) | | - Able to work independently with minimal supervision on a regular | | basis | | - The ability to do manual labor (backpack spraying, tree planting, | | etc.) | | | | | | | | Wages/Benefit | | | | The wage range for this position will be between $17.00 and $24.00 | | per hour. Attainment of pesticide license will result in a wage | | increase.
