The Senior Communications Specialist is responsible for supporting and implementing Cartus Communications, both internal and external. This role will be responsible to create and develop dynamic and compelling messages to help shape our internal culture. Additionally, support of all B2B external communication efforts and Public Relations functions through writing of press releases, media pitches, and support of key initiatives.
Key Job Functions & Responsibilities
Provide drafting/editing support of the development of the annual integrated communications plan (includes both internal & external communications)
Identify and implement innovative ways to connect with employees by managing the execution of all internal communications for Cartus by aligning with HR & Leadership Team.
Deliver, write & edit the annual Cartus Global Citizenship report (corporate responsibility) by securing feedback and alignment from the Cartus orgranization.
Act as the internal communications liaison with Realogy Group by preparing the online internal newsletter on a weekly basis (What’s NewAtHome)
Develop & write all press releases with direction from leadership including securing necessary approvals both internally and at Realogy. Planned to issue 2-4 releases each month.
Manage the process to pitch key press releases to trade contacts as aligned with the overall company strategy. Organize and coordinate all interviews with key media contacts for executive leadership.
Ensure alignment with social media team that all internal/external communication are shared as necessary through key channels (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook etc.)
Maintains relationships, media lists and media contacts in industry and ancillary industries (trade & consumer)
Capture and develop process to secure statistics and tracking for all external communications. Report data monthly & provide to global marketing team to compile monthly dashboard statistics. Works with global team to provide bi-monthly media overview.
General writing and editing of all types of documents produced by Marketing (White Papers, Internal communications, core marketing materials, story boards/video scripting, award applications, blog posts).
4-6 years of experience in communications (internal or external)
College degree with writing experience required (public relations or journalism background a plus)
Demonstrable writing, editing, organizational, and communication skills required
Advanced knowledge of typical marketing communication technologies (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Power Point, Excel)
Comfort with social media platforms
Experience in relocation / real estate helpful
