Cardiac (Electrophysiology) Advanced Practitioner (APRN/PA) Opening - Danbury, Connecticut

Danbury Hospital is seeking a full-time Cardiac Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (sub-specialty in Electrophysiology) to join our Arrhythmia Service at Danbury Hospital. The position follows a Monday through Friday schedule with mostly outpatient coverage. No evenings, weekends, or call. Danbury is located about 60 miles northeast of New York City in suburban Fairfield County and near the border of Westchester and Putnam Counties in New York.

In collaboration with physicians and team members, the Advanced Practitioner provides direct care to those patients with cardiac rhythm disorders and related conditions. The APRN also provides evaluation and care to patients with implanted cardiac rhythm devices. The ideal candidate will be a board certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with prior cardiac care experience preferred and a working knowledge of implantable cardiac devices and EP procedures. Danbury Hospital has 371 beds and is a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 70,000 ED visits per year, as well as a Stroke Center and a Chest Pain Center, offering 24- hour interventional cardiology. As a teaching hospital, we are affiliated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Ross University, American University of the Caribbean, and Yale School of Medicine. Our employed Medical Group includes 1000+ physicians and advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout Western Connecticut and eastern New York.

Danbury, Connecticut, located in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains and on the border of New York State, is about 60 miles northeast of New York City and 60 miles west of Hartford, CT. The region has highly rated public and private schools and universities. Boston, New York City, New Haven and Hartford are easily accessible.
