Cortland Park Rehabilitation & Nursing LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) Full and Part time in Cortland, New York

As an LPN, you will:

  • Assume responsibilities of Nurse Manager in his/her absence.

  • Receive morning report and make daily assignments.

  • Make rounds. Assess status for Residents/Patients on unit, checking on specifics given on Resident care.

  • Ensure that all MDS and PRI charting is completed accurately and completely to ensure maximum reimbursement.

  • Complete treatments for the unit according to good nursing standards.

  • Supervise dining room during meals, making note of Resident eating habits, assisting as necessary. Assure all documentation is completed by appropriate staff.

Requirements: Must have a current New York State LPN license and be in good standing on the Nursing Assistant Registry. Communicate orally in writing with residents, families, co-workers and the public. Must be approved to work through the Criminal Background Check Program. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and be able to walk around the unit. Must be able to stoop; kneel; crouch; reach; push; pull; climb; lift and carry heavy objects and be able to turn, handle and manipulate minor medical equipment.
