Robert Half HR Generalist in Corona, California

Description

The Human Resources Generalist will handle a broad spectrum of HR duties within union environments, reporting to the HR Director, and offering extensive support to business units in various states and locations. This role requires a proficient generalist with a results-driven approach, outstanding collaborative and customer service skills, and multitasking capabilities. The HR Generalist will be responsible for all HR aspects, focusing on employee data, job descriptions, performance management, and managing the employee leave process (STD/LTD, FMLA), working closely with the Compensation, Recruiting, Payroll, and Safety departments. Business partnership experience is essential for success in this role. The individual will input data from multiple sources into various databases and spreadsheets, ensuring accuracy by validating inputs and calculations. They will also generate, execute, and share both routine and specialized reports to convey follow-up actions and consolidate information. The Generalist will work with a team to create and update standard templates, descriptions, and presentation materials to improve efficiency and shorten response times. Additionally, they will oversee the inventory of departmental office supplies, process purchase orders for these items, and liaise with the purchasing department. The role occasionally involves scheduling and managing a calendar of meetings, coordinating related logistics, and organizing on-site and offsite conferences, meetings, and special events, guaranteeing prompt and precise communication with all stakeholders. Advanced PC skills, especially in spreadsheets and presentations, are mandatory. Familiarity with Google Suite is beneficial, and the candidate must have a thorough understanding of state and federal laws.
