JOB PURPOSE

Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining policies, procedures, and programs to support systems recovery in the event of a disaster event. Work with technology and business stakeholders to assist with the evaluation of system criticality, document disaster recovery plans, conduct disaster recovery tests, and assist with the identification of disaster recovery controls. Assist in the design and implementation of exercises to test disaster recovery and preparedness.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Disaster Recovery Planning

Design and implement best-in-class disaster recovery plans to protect company data with guidance from other teammates.

Disaster Recovery Risk Assessment

Assess and identify potential risks and impacts to disaster recovery using the organization's risk assessment tools and protocols. Support efforts to mitigate potential disaster recovery risks.

Disaster Recovery Testing

Assist other team members to plan, coordinate, and execute testing activities. This includes developing test scenarios, validating recovery time objectives, and documenting test outcomes.

Data Collection and Analysis

Collate and analyze data using pre-set tools, methods and formats.

Continuous Improvement

Contribute to reviewing existing operations in own area of work and generate new ideas to assist in identifying continuous improvements.

Ongoing Learning & Development

Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation where relevant to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, a tending conferences, and reading specialist media.

Horizon Scanning

Explore and develop a broad understanding of external developments or emerging issues and contribute to the evaluation of their potential impact on, or usefulness to assigned team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

General Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent level preferred

EXPERIENCE

General Experience

1-3 years of experience documenting technical recovery plans and performing technical recovery exercises.

Targeted Pay Range: $67,100 - $109,000. This is part of a competitive total rewards package that could include other components such as: incentive, equity and benefits. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
