Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Cookeville, Tennessee

Description We are offering an opportunity to join our team in Cookeville, Tennessee, as a Senior Accountant. The role involves managing daily accounting tasks, preparing financial statements, and supporting our financial team within the telecom industry. This role is critical to our financial success and requires an individual with a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, and the capacity to work well with others.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with our established schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department.

• Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.

• Analyze financial reports and provide accurate and comprehensive information to the leadership team.

• Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary.

• Reconcile balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.

• Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements.

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Support budget and forecasting activities.

• Perform month-end close procedures including accruals and prepayments.

• Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant or related position

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Solid understanding and experience with General Ledger and Journal Entries

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Experience in Month End Close procedures

• Knowledge and experience in using Traverse CS - Client Server is advantageous

• Experience in Project Accounting, Cost Accounting, Manufacturing Cost Accounting, and Standard Cost Accounting is required

• Possession of a relevant professional accounting qualification would be beneficial

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High levels of integrity and professionalism
