Manager, North American Scheduling

Allied Mineral Products is a leading manufacturer of monolithic refractories worldwide. We are seeking a Manager, North American Scheduling in our Columbus, Ohio location to support our North American business. As a Manager, North American Scheduling you will oversee our production planning process throughout North America leveraging your expertise in SAP. Your experience will allow our team to meet or exceed customer and company expectations. Your experience within SAP will help us optimize the performance of production planning, master scheduling, and master data to achieve short and long-term corporate objectives. In this role you will work with a team to enhance SAP and efficiently schedule production for multiple facilities.

Key Duties:

  • Maintain and lead team culture throughout the organization.

  • Manage the daily activities between SAP and the production teams across all North American Plants meet or exceed department objectives.

  • Develop production schedule, monitor daily schedule, and adjust as needs arise based on customer input.

  • Master Planner to map the use of resources and materials in the most efficient manner possible while ensuring that the service to our customers is maintained at the highest level.

  • Work closely with internal departments to maintain proper communication.

  • Specifically, IT to development a production planning process within SAP.

  • Provide support to monitor, maintain, and clean-up department activities.

  • Develop and maintain status reports on relevant Business KPIs and performance metrics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (business and/or operations management).

  • Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to communicate and interact with others at all functions and levels of the organization.

  • Knowledge and experience with SAP S/4 HANA, Fiori and EWM.

  • Master Data Setup, Production planning, ERP, MRP, Planned Independent Requirement (PIR), Advanced Planning, Batch management, etc.

  • Project management experience.

  • Must be systematic/methodical.

  • Proficient with MS Office applications.

  • Change management experience.

  • Strong attention to detail, fast paced and extremely service driven manufacturing environment.

  • Team leadership capabilities (team building techniques and managing work schedules).

Working Environment

  • On-site role Monday – Friday, weekend/afterhours as needed to support operational/customer requirements.

  • Combination of Office and Plant work environments.

  • Work environment conditions may be dusty, hot or cold.

  • Required to follow Allied Mineral Products’ Safety & Health policy and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as appropriate.
