Job Description:

Summary: The refrigeration maintenance generalist lead is responsible for assisting the Refrigeration Maintenance Supervisors with following and managing small projects, training/managing SAP system pertaining to the specific areas of thefacility up to and including scheduling/planning for all 3 shifts. As lead the position is responsible for building, implementing, organizing and maintaining the facility's OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) and EPA Risk Management Programs (RMP) as required by the Tyson EHS PSM program manual. Lead will also provide safe continuous, efficient operation and maintenance of the ammonia refrigeration system, boiler system and both high pressure hot water systems, water softeners, air compressors and HVAC systems, as well assist with OSHA and EPA compliance. This position also includes using logging system of operations data twice per shift, start up and shut down of systems, electrical skills, preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, pipe fitting and wiring and other duties as assigned by the Refrigeration Supervisor. Qualifications: Industrial refrigeration maintenance experience with RETA training/certification or ability to obtain. Troubleshooting and repair knowledge of compressed air systems with ability to recognize potential problems and take corrective action. Assist in OSHA/EPA compliance. Electrical skills and troubleshooting. Experience building/rebuilding pumps, motors, compressors and electrical components. Top candidate must be able to pass the BMCT (Bennett's Mechanical Comprehension Test) to move to offer. Ability to work an alternative work schedule with every other weekend off and day off during the week or as required with flexi bility in shifts required as well. Education: High School diploma/or general education degree (GED) preferred, but not required/or equivalent of education experience. Work Environment: This position isexposed to cold/wet/seasonal conditions in ranges of 20 below to 100 degrees. The employee is exposed to chemical hazards such as ammonia and moving mechanical parts. The noise level is very loud around equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must stand, walk, bend/reach in a repetitive motion while working on lifts and rooftops. Must be able to lift/push/pull 70 to 80 lbs. Must be able to perform all the essential functions with or without reasonableaccommodations. Requirements: Must work proficiently with little or no supervision. Have adequate work experience in industrial/HVAC environment. Required to pass a level 4 PFT (pulmonary Function Test) to obtain a SCBA use. Required to beon HAZMAT team and wear applicable PPE. Must be able to read or have the ability to understand schematics, diagrams and or blueprints. Able to understand temperatures/pressure in boiler systems. Basic computer kiosk skills or the ability to learn. Must have ability to obtain forklift, pallet jack, and rough terrain lift operator's license. Ability to perform Lockout/Tag out procedures. RETA, Boiler, and HVAC Certification or Wastewater license preferred Forklift license. Working experience and knowledge of Anhydrous Ammonia. Knowledge of PLC and Electrical preferred. Special Skills: This position required to have the ability to write, understand written and oral instructions.
