Job Description

Grace is seeking a Director Talent Management to join our Human Resources team. This role reports to the Vice President, Talent and is located at the headquarters in Columbia, MD. The incumbent will be responsible for creating strategies, overseeing, and executing the processes of succession planning, organization development and performance management. This role is a key driver to our goal of attracting, engaging, developing, and retaining high-performing talent.

Responsibilities

  • Provide thought leadership, consultation, and guidance to the company on talent management strategies in partnership with the businesses and HR leaders.

  • Systemically link all talent management approaches and implement practical solutions to organizational and individual talent challenges.

  • Ensure diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) principles and approaches are foundational to all talent management practices in partnership with the business, DEI and HR teams.

  • Lead the execution of the corporate Talent Review in close partnership with HR and business leaders.

  • Deploy process with particular emphasis on high potential and emerging talent to ensure a well-qualified and diverse talent pool for key positions.

  • Promote internal mobility by creating and implementing strategies to provide employees with opportunities to grow and develop within the organization.

  • ​​​​​​​ Lead the execution of all elements of performance management for Grace.

  • Implement strategies to ensure we have a streamlined and formalized process that drives continuous dialogue, meaningful and balanced performance discussions.

  • Improve leadership tools such as performance management documents, coaching, 360 reviews, and employee development.

  • Lead the design and effective execution of organization development approaches.

  • Develop and provide guidance as it relates organization structure, workforce planning, talent reviews, employee engagement and succession planning.

  • Coach HRBP’s and leaders on effective span of control, building out scalable et consistent org structures to support culture, talent preparedness and team effectiveness.

  • Ensure talent management initiatives reflect best practices and accomplish intended objectives for Grace and employees.

  • Develop a plan for continuous improvement of talent management offerings and resources in support of and aligned with our business strategies, leadership principles, competencies, and culture.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 15+ years of experience in talent management and organization development, with at least 5 in an Enterprise role

  • High degree of initiative, accountability, and ownership of all aspects of the role, thought leadership at the corporate level.

  • Strong project management, Vendor, and contractor management skills

  • Polished communicator with an ability to comfortably interact with all levels of the organization, from C-Suite to Individual Contributor

  • Proven ability to think strategically, implement practically, and tend to all details in between.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive decision-making.

  • Occasional (10%) domestic and international travel may be expected of this position.
