Lockheed Martin Cyber Security Development Engineer in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Description: The Combined Orbital Operations, Logistics, and Resiliency (COOLR) team in Colorado Springs is solving challenges in supporting our customer’s mission of delivering and sustaining reliable Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) military satellite communications (MILSATCOM) capabilities to America's warfighters and allies; we're looking for motivated self-driven technologists to join us.

• Capture, define, architect, design, develop, integrate, test and deliver cybersecurity products to government customers.

• Identify, develop, and implement resilient countermeasures to reduce risk to the enterprise.

Travel will be required to local military installations in the Colorado Springs area and possibly to California and Pennsylvania.

Basic Qualifications:

• Mid-level experience with the COOLR program, processes, customer, and AEHF government users

• Mid-level experience with Github/Gitlab and git source control

• Mid-level experience developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as Ansible

• Mid-level experience with developing configurations for Windows and Linux

• Mid-level experience with developing configurations and/or apps for Security Information & Event Management (SIEM) tools such as Splunk Enterprise

• Mid-level experience with a Scripting Language such as Python and/or Bash

• Demonstrated interest in developing and implementing defensive cyber tools through prior experience and/or personal projects

• Solid understanding of configurations for endpoint security tools such as anti-virus, firewalls, and file integrity management

• Knowledge of Agile development practices and experience using Agile tools such as Jira

• Hold DoD-8570 baseline certification (Security+, CEH, CYSA+, CISSP, or equivalent).

• Must possess a Secret Clearance with eligibility to obtain TS/SCI Security Clearance

Desired Skills:

• Experience with writing rules for Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) such as Suricata and/or Zeek

• Experience with performing software installations at customer sites

• Solid understanding of VMWare architectures

• Experience with DevSecOps practices and tools including containerization and/or CI/CD systems (such as Gitlab CI)

• Experience in space, ground, and satellite vehicle architectures

• Broad background in information security tools, concepts and issues across a range of technologies

• Familiar with secure information system design and architecture

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $93,400 - $179,000 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
