What we’re looking for…

Oatey, a global leader in manufacturing, is embarking on a transformative journey with the implementation of SAP S/4 HANA. We are seeking a seasoned SAP Technical Manager to lead our technical team into the future of enterprise resource planning. This pivotal role demands a unique blend of technical prowess in SAP solutions, leadership acumen, and a strategic mindset to harness the full potential of SAP BTP, EDI, ABAP, and integration systems.

Expectations & Accountabilities …

  • Serve as the technical authority for SAP BTP, EDI, ABAP, and integration efforts, providing guidance and direction to a dedicated team of development professionals.

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team, setting clear objectives and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

  • Oversee the development, customization, and integration of SAP solutions to meet business needs and enhance functionality.

  • Design and implement integration strategies for various systems to ensure seamless flow of information across the enterprise.

  • Work closely with other IT and business leaders to align SAP technical strategies with organizational goals.

  • Stay abreast of SAP technical trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement within the organization.

  • Ability to augment team’s workload and perform technical work on high priority enhancements or issues as needed

  • Manage the priority and assignment/workload of the developmental resources on the team.

  • Develops technical standards and ensures team adopts and is compliant with standards.

What you’ll need to be successful…

  • At least 6 years of experience in SAP technical roles with a strong understanding of SAP BTP, EDI, ABAP, and system integration.

  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and inspire a technical team.

  • Solid project management skills with a track record of managing complex SAP technical projects.

  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities and the ability to work under pressure.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across various levels of the organization.

  • Extensive hands-on experience with SAP technical area, preferably ABAP.

  • Understands BTP environment and solid understanding of integrations/CPI and EDI technical concepts.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience in lieu of degree.
