Must still be employed, full/part-time, and in good standing at the time of each payout. Payments are prorated for part-time hires. Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio is seeking mission-minded Associates to join us as a part-time (18.75 hours per week) Medical Assistant - Clinical Support to serve our patients at our Old Brooklyn Health Center. SUMMARY The Medical Assistant I - Clinical Support performs a variety of client care services in accordance with agency policies and in a courteous and professional manner. Provides general health and contraceptive information to clients, assists with medical procedures and performs clerical functions, while ensuring quality client care and excellent customer service. The Health Care Assistant provides direct services in family planning and, if assigned, abortion care and is responsible for customer service skills in person and on the telephone. Must be pleasant, courteous and helpful. Qualified associates who are fluent in a needed language (Spanish, Nepali, or Somali, depending on geographic service area) will earn a $1.00 per hour differential for two years following successful examination. New Heath Services Associates will take part in a robust clinical training program with a mix of virtual, instructor led, and hands-on styles. First Week: New Hire Orientation (Virtual with Human Resources), Health Services Orientation (Virtual with Clinical Training Team), Home Health Center Observations (On-Site) Second Week: Training in Electronic Health System, EPIC (Computer Based) Third Week: Learning at a Clinical Training Hub (On-Site instructor led at one of three Training Hubs: Akron, Bedford Heights, or Mansfield depending on home site) Fourth Week: Home Health Center Training (On-Site instructor led at Home Site) The time at the hub provides a great opportunity to learn, practice, and enhance clinical skills in a pressure free environment with 1:1 support from our credentialed trainers. During the third week, Planned Parenthood provides a daily stipend to assist in travel to and from the clinical training hub.
