Position Title: Operational Risk Manager -- Business Resumption Services

Location: Cincinnati, OH

Our Risk Manager of Business Resumption Services will work closely with the Operational Risk Director to implement an appropriate governance and oversight function for business resumption services. You will work to define and execute an oversight, monitoring and governance strategy for business resumption services in accordance with regulatory requirements and will be accountable for helping ensure the governing principles for business resumption services (disaster recovery, business continuity, and incident management) are aligned with the company's overall risk appetite.

Responsibilities include:

  • Periodically review and validate key business resumption processes against leading practices, regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.

  • Participate in and provide guidance for activities geared towards implementing awareness programs to ensure employees embrace their responsibility for protecting our customers' business resumption needs.

  • Provide oversight and guidance to ensure business resumption plans and testing strategies incorporate the Bank's third party partners as appropriate.

  • Coordinate and liaise with other departments within the company and external auditors for information sharing related to business resumption tasks.

  • Participate in monitoring governance as we work with cloud providers to ensure we maintain our business resumption requirements with these solutions.

  • Establish KPIs/KRI's, and dashboards for assessing the effectiveness of the business resumption program through key benchmarks both in the planning, implementation, and operation of the function.

  • Review and provide feedback on training for employees across the enterprise regarding business resumption policies and practices.

  • Assist with collection of data, analysis of information and drafting of operational risk primary risk assessment for items related to business resumption services.

  • Monitor change in the regulatory landscape related to business resumption services.

  • Provide consultative support in the development and administration of business continuity contracts and subscriptions, including service level agreements with business continuity service providers. Perform regular reviews of existing contracts to ensure they provide all required equipment and services.

  • Maintain expertise in industry business resumption best practices and implement within company as appropriate.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • 5 or more years in business continuity management, disaster recovery, event and incident management, risk, audit, or compliance experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in enterprise risk and compliance as well as experience with business resumption services.

  • Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) in good standing.

  • Bachelor's degree preference: Business or IT related field.

  • Excellent analytical skills.

  • Experience with EBC software solutions.

  • Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII) Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or Business Continuity Institute (BCI) Certificate of Business Continuity Institute (CBCI) certification preferred.

  • Project Management/Leadership experience with demonstrated implementation success.

  • Proven problem solving skills.

  • Ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
