PAT THORNE LUMBER Lumber Yard Team Member/Laborer in CHILLICOTHE, Missouri
Customer Service: Assist Customers in selecting lumber, building materials, loading purchases and securing loads safely. Provide great customer service with greeting, smile and great attitude Safely cut lumber to customer specifications using saw and cutting equipment
Material Handling: Load and unload lumber and building supplies from vendors, ensure accuracy and all discrepancies properly rotated Stock all products in proper locations Notate inventory discrepancies and product needs Keep lumber years and warehouse area clean, organized and free of debris Place inbound product and customer orders in designated areas with the yard or warehouse. Ensure all customers orders are tagged Use equipment such as forklifts, pallets, jacks and delivery trucks Flat stack and cull lumber as appropriate Properly record and handling of damaged merchandise Prepare and package orders for delivery. Ensure all materials are securely loaded and documentation is accurate
Equipment: Perform regular maintenance and minor repairs on yard equipment and tools Ensure equipment is working properly and operate equipment properly within safety guidelines Report deficiencies to supervisor without delay
Safety: Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries to yourself, co-workers and customers by wearing gear and maintaining a clean work environment ALWAYS operate all machinery in safe manor. NO HORSEPLAY
