Audit Services conducts audits and reports the results of our work to the Audit & Examinations Committee of the Board of Directors. We provide independent, objective assurance and consulting services delivered through a highly competent and diverse team. As a business partner, Audit helps the Company accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.

We are seeking Senior Audit Managers (SAMs) to join CBATs team that centrally manages MRA, issue, and customer remediation validations. This team ensures that lines of business within Consumer Banking are successfully completing corrective actions, customer look-backs, and remediation efforts identified via audit engagements and regulatory exams. The qualified individuals will manage from 8-10 team members responsible for coordinating and conducting this work. They will work closely with CBAT leadership to ensure complete coverage and understanding of the areas and issues being validated. The ideal candidate possesses knowledge of consumer products and services, audit processes related to issue and MRA validation, and knowledge of consent orders and other work that requires customer remediation. In addition, the candidate demonstrates an ability to build strong working relationships, exhibits the ability to effectively manage and develop a high performing team, and adapts in a highly fluid environment.

The SAMs over this team will have oversight and accountability for the following:

  • Adapting to a fluid and changing environment, engaging in real time reviews to ensure change initiatives are moving in the right direction to address business and regulator concerns.

  • Understanding and assessing corrective actions and remediation processes and results.

  • Developing collaborative relationships and building strong coordination efforts with peers across WFAS.

  • Coordinating with internal audit teams as necessary to advise and influence coverage

  • Developing strong and consistent working relationships with senior business and risk leaders that offer valuable interaction opportunities to enhance audit focus, execution and alignment with business strategy.

  • Providing relevant insight into current and emerging risks; identifying issues and opportunities for the business while exercising sound judgment and credible challenge; driving relevant change to ensure efficient and effective control frameworks.

  • Leading and developing a team that is knowledgeable of business processes, risk mitigation and conducting effective, timely, and quality audit work.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: audit, control testing, control and risk identification, or audit analysis

  • 2+ years of leadership or management experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Audit experience at a large financial institution or auditing company.

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in accounting, finance, or business administration

  • Certification in one or more of the following: CPA, CAMS, CRCM, CIA, CISA or Commissioned Bank Examiner designation

  • Leadership experience for professional auditors, risk management, or project leadership professionals

  • Solid knowledge and understanding of audit methodologies and tools that support audit processes

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

  • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities

  • Solid problem solving skills

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
