This newly created role will report to the Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) Measurement Lead and partner across functional teams in Marketing Measurement, Marketing Strategic Capabilities and Insights, Marketing, Product and other Enterprise teams. Responsible for providing measurement, reporting and analysis for WIM Marketing campaigns, including upper and lower funnel campaigns, both Paid and Owned. Contributes to the transformation of data into information and provides tactical and strategic recommendations that will assist leaders’ decision-making relative to corporate products, services and process improvements that impact business outcomes. Executes on the vision for analytic opportunities and advancements. Utilizes technical solutions to predict, improve and measure the success of fundamentals and new initiatives linked to business outcomes. This requires an understanding of internal business strategies and objectives. Incorporates external market factors that impact or drive business outcomes. Contributes to define measurement standards and collaborates with business partners to achieve consistent agreement and application of definitions, measurements and interpretation. Applies modeling, forecasting, reporting and/or data distribution tools and processes. This role is expected to contribute to a dynamic team of talented and dedicated consultants who strive to measure not only marketing performance but also generate actionable insights and guidance for future marketing efforts. In particular, this role will focus on measurement for Wells Fargo Asset Management, The Private Bank, and distributed materials from Wells Fargo Investment Institute.

The Marketing Measurement team brings accountability to the Marketing organization by empirically estimating the incremental contributions of Marketing to the business and the performance of each campaign and marketing initiatives. Its charter also includes providing guidance to the organization as to the optimal levels of program investments and allocations across businesses, marketing channels, sales channels, audiences and time to achieve forecast sales goals. The team is also charged with developing and maintaining all the Marketing Mix Modeling, Multi-touch Attribution, Test and Control Models, Targeting Models, Opportunity Sizing, Sales Planning and Forecasting as well as Numerical Optimization Apps that provide the backbone of past Marketing performance measurements and future investment optimizations. All while reducing risk and driving operational efficiencies.


  • Consulting with program managers during campaign planning and strategy design

  • Designing campaign measurement plans relevant to the learning agenda of each campaign, drawing on your knowledge of digital and traditional marketing channels, statistics, and our available data sources

  • Managing the entire measurement plan of campaigns working cross functionally among advertising agencies, marketing leads, research and internal analytics groups, etc.

  • Building experimental design measurement plans

  • Tracking campaign sales, analyzing the quality of the new customer relationships, and interpreting the results

  • Measuring the profitability of marketing campaigns and working with financial analysts to tie the results to forecasts in the business case

  • Generating insights and score cards across these various campaigns

  • Evangelizing information generated in reports to the internal marketing community, and presenting to senior leadership

  • Leveraging diverse data sets spanning across multiple databases and digital properties

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling

  • 4+ years of marketing experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • 4+ years of marketing analytics experience

  • Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of SQL or SAS
