  • Technicians are responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles, as well as providing preventive maintenance services. We are seeking candidates who are committed to providing the highest quality service.

  • Location: Hendrick Honda South Blvd. (Charlotte, NC).

  • Schedule: Full Time, 5-day work week, dept. hours Mon-Fri. 7:00am-6:00pm, Sat. 7:30am-5:00pm, closed on Sundays.

  • Pay Range: $55,000 - $90,000 per year (based on level and job performance).

Job Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and other automotive systems.

  • Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections.

  • Test and repair brakes, exhaust systems, suspensions, engine components, and other automotive parts.

  • Inspect and adjust tire pressures, shock absorbers, and other automotive components.

  • Replace worn brake pads, spark plugs, and other automotive parts.

  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks and identify potential problems.

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose automotive issues.

  • Communicate with customers and explain repairs and services.

  • Follow manufacturer’s specifications and safety protocols.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

  • Keep up to date on automotive technologies and advancements.

  • Record all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system

  • Participate in required training (manufacturer fundamental training and/or NAPA training provided by Hendrick).

  • Meet and/or exceed manufacturer requirements for ASE tests.

  • Complete manufacturer training to perform: warranty repairs/recalls on most vehicles, PDI’s, maintenance, and minor repairs.

  • Follow Safeguards rules and regulations.

  • Comply with Company policies and procedures.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver's License.

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Vocational/Trade School Certificate preferred.

  • Knowledge of the latest automotive repair techniques and technologies.

  • Experience with various makes and models of vehicles.

Essential Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical and electrical problems.

  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and common hand tools to repair and maintain vehicles.

  • Ability to explain technical information to customers.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to lift heavy objects.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
