BHGE is seeking a lawyer with Oil & Gas experience to assume the role of Product Line Counsel for Drilling Services. Based in Celle, Germany, the Product Line Counsel will provide multifaceted legal advice and support to the Drilling Services Product Line and will report directly to the Associate General Counsel, Oilfield Services.
Primary responsibility for the management of the non-IP related legal and compliance affairs for the Drilling Services Product Line.
Provide legal support for customer contracts, supply chain and procurement activities, corporate administration, labor and employment, and trade compliance;
Provide training and advice on the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, UK Bribery Act, Competition law and other related training.
Apprise Drilling Services Executive Leadership Team on non-IP related legal risks and exposures.
Interface with customers, suppliers, and business partners.
Participate in negotiations with customers and suppliers, including innovative deal structuring (e.g., joint ventures, and strategic alliances
Review, negotiate and draft various agreements, including customer contracts, supplier agreements, nondisclosure agreements, lease agreements and other domestic and international commercial agreements.
Assess, appoint and manage outside counsel.
Advise other members of BHGE Legal on the application of German law.
Collaborate with other members of BHGE Legal on the management of non-IP related litigation related to Drilling Services, including determination of reserves/accruals and reporting.
Support matters relating to threatened / potential non-IP litigation, including debt collection and supplier insolvency.
Must be qualified to practice law in Germany with at least 7 years PQE.
Must be fluent in both English and German.
Oil & Gas industry experience preferred.
Previous in-house legal responsibility working for a multinational company is required.
