Sutter Health Ultrasound Technologist - Ultrasound (On Call, Varied) in Castro Valley, California
Performs general diagnostic ultrasound examination. Performs a variety of duties in preparing neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients for the technical component of scans and treatments of particular organs to furnish diagnostic information. Operates Ultrasound equipment to produce the scans. Provides support and training assistance as well as functioning in all aspects of position. Assists the Lead and Department in maintenance of equipment and QA/QC program(s) for meeting regulatory and accreditation and re-accreditation. Serves as department liaison.
Minimum Education:Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program
Preferred Education: Associates degree or higher
Minimum Experience:Minimum 1year hospital setting-Student internship experience may be considered.
Preferred Experience 12 months hospital setting
Licensure/Certification:ARDMS Certification in Abdomen or GEN OB and maintenance (single specialty)
Certification in two additional specialties within 12 months of hire (second specialty from above and RVT vascular)
Courses/Training:AMA approved program in Ultrasonography
