The Opportunity:

Mission and Scope of the scheduler role are as follows:

  • Ensures the development and completion of job progress milestones through scheduling and Coordinates with delivery team members.

  • Contributes to forecasts and disbursements by performing schedule analysis.

  • Under general direction, uses specialised knowledge or skills to solve complex and unique problems, or direct the daily activities of a business, technical support, or functional support within project controls.

  • Establishes priorities for the completion of assigned tasks.

    Responsibilities:

  • Revise and update where necessary the Open Plan Professional (OPP) Project and Contract Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) so that they are in-line with appropriate industry standards including DEF (AUST) 5664

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of CASG project Integrated Master Schedules across multiple Projects.

  • Preparation of schedule reports and reporting meetings (PPRIP; HoG; Project Performance Review; and MPGR monthly meetings)

  • Identification of potential risks, issues and opportunities in regard to project schedules

  • Mentoring advice and assistance to CASG project management personnel in relation to the use of current industry best practice schedule tools and project schedule reporting methodologies

    As the ideal candidate you will bring:

  • Previous experience as a Project Scheduler, developing and managing Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)

  • Demonstratable skills in project scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project and/or Primavera and/or Open Plan Professional (OPP)

  • Understanding of DEF(AUST) 5664 WBS for Defence Projects or equivalent

  • Ability to create high level roadmaps from schedule data to inform various executive briefings

  • Good understanding and ability to maintain Project Management artefacts such as schedule management plan.

  • Ability to analyse schedule, identify and communicate schedule risks, issues & opportunities to the project team and stakeholders.

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Suite of Products, in particular PowerPoint, Excel & Word

  • Previous experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (SAP Solution)

  • Previous experience in rolling wave planning and schedule development or Agile project management.

  • Security Clearance required
