  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and/or Information Technology required.

  • Minimum 7 years’ direct experience working in an IT and business environment.

  • Experience and knowledge of Data & Analytics, Master Data Management, & CRM Implementation tools/platforms.

  • Experience implementing solutions to facilitate the work of development operations and alumni engagement or equivalent business functions in other industries.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Agile, Scrum, or PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) certification desired.

  • Advanced degree in Business, Computer Science, or related area.

  • Technical Curiosity / Willingness to Learn. Interested in seeking out new experiences, knowledge, and candid feed, back, demonstrating openness to learning and change.

  • Attention to Detail. Able to see and pay attention to details; able to recognize the component parts of a procedure or object and verify the correctness or error in an individual part or procedure.

  • Results Orientation. Able to identify actions necessary to achieve task completion and to obtain results; able to meet schedules, deadlines, quotas, and performance goals.

  • Communication Skills. Able to convey information in a professional, precise, and easy-to-understand manner for various roles and levels of technical understanding through verbal and written communications.

  • Proven experience within an organization supporting a hybrid and 100% remote environment.

  • Ability to analyze complex information and recommend action steps.

  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills; ability to work under pressure and against deadlines, must have flexibility and the ability to shift quickly and efficiently; must have the ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative, organizing multiple concurrent tasks.

  • Experience working for non-profit, academia, or government.

  • Experience providing high-level technology client services or working in a customer service environment.

Additional Information:This role is offered as a hybrid (some combination of onsite and remote) where you are required to be onsite at our Boston, MA based campus 2 days per week. Specific days and schedule will be determined between you and your manager.

Position Description:Harvard Business School (HBS) is preparing for our next digital transformation, and is seeking a forward-thinking, strategic, and customer focused Sr. Business Analyst to support and drive the development of innovative solutions, services, and strategies. We are an experienced team of information and technology professionals who have invested in building the foundation, eliminating silos, and increasing data quality across multiple systems. You will understand trends in technology and anticipate organizational needs to help inform operations and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of fundraising, prospect management, and alumni engagement activities. Working with the Director of Business and Technology Operations, you will contribute to multiple aspects of technology operations and administration.

In this role, you are responsible to advise on all aspects of good IT governance, communications, change management, and business process improvements.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide daily operational support to the External Relations (ER) Department and ensure high-quality services.

  • Reporting to the Director, the Sr. Business Analyst is an active and engaged member within the ER IT team and collaborates with colleagues across the department to facilitate change management related to advancement solutions.

  • Partner with departmental stakeholders to understand their objectives that are supported through available technologies.

  • Participate in projects to document requirements, scope solutions, and develop solutions.

  • Participate in daily team standups and recurring meetings on the management of all departmental technology systems and infrastructure.

  • This role is responsible for other duties as assigned.
