Eaton’s IS AER ITD Aerospace division is currently seeking a Buyer.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $75037.5 - $110055.0 a year.

What you’ll do:

Eaton’s Aerospace Group, Interconnect Technology Division (ITD) is currently seeking a Buyer to join our team. This position is based at our Camarillo, CA facility. Relocation is Not provided for this role. This role must report on-site daily at our Camarillo, California M-F 8am to 5 pm.

Position Overview:

The Buyer is responsible executing purchasing of assigned commodities to ensure an uninterrupted supply at optimum cost and quality

Implements procurement strategy based on the commodity, the Supply Chain and Customer needs / targets and build a successful relationship with key vendors.

Key goals of the position are to achieve an appropriate balance between supplier quality/delivery expectations versus cost reduction mandates.

Develop and manage supply base to support manufacturing and on-time delivery.

In this role, you will:

• Ensures Supplier performance according to contract terms and addresses any performance issues with support of supplier development team, with support of SCM (Supply Chain Manager)

• Initiates and implements process improvement activities in all assigned task areas.

• Ensures that the components and supplier’s data are kept up to date within the ERP for his/her own supplier base.

• Develop and maintain close and professional relationship with vendors.

• Is responsible for reporting performance metrics related to Imported EATON purchases. Monitor the activities of your area are focused on meeting the metric as DOH, SOTD, IN-Transit , inventory, etc.

• Participate in daily production meetings and meet the needs of missing materials purchases that occur.

• Quote and buy assigned purchased parts for the site

• Control inventory impact by analyzing MOQ vs consumption

• Runs, analyzes and report causes with action plan for price variances (PPV)

• Maintain MRP health by aligning purchase order dates and managing purchase order quantities

• Run and respond to daily MRP report (Place PO, Reschedule In, Reschedule Out, Cancels, Late PO’s)

• Resolve PO/Invoice discrepancies in a timely manner

• Process supplier related RMA’s

• Track progression of purchase orders, investigate factors that affect schedules, and modify plans as necessary

• Expedite critical orders throughout the supply chain, works with divisional supply chain team for escalations.

• Inform management of potential production problems and assist in the implementation of both short- and long-term solutions.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in applicable functional discipline.

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in supply chain planning/purchasing.

• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship.

• Candidate must reside within 50 miles of Camarillo, California. Relocation is Not available for this role.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain , Business , or Marketing.

• Experience working in Manufacturing, Aerospace and Military Plants and/or experience with Engineer to order production or low volume high mix production

• Advanced Excel capabilities.

• Proven experience selecting and choosing suppliers for new and existing part numbers.

• SAP advanced user with solid knowledge of BOM management, items master setup.

• Negotiating with suppliers to obtain price reduction and improve delivery dates.

• Experience monitoring and improving supplier on time delivery.

• APICS / CPIM Certified a plus.

• Possess excellent problem-solving skills in complex and demanding situations that undergo continuous priority changes.

• Experience presenting to senior level managers.
