IBM Deal Strategist in CAIRO, Egypt

Job Description

The Deal Strategist will lead the pre-proposal management process in response to Pre-RFP and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).

The ability to meet deadlines, a commitment to teamwork, and detailed follow-through will be the key to success in this role. Project management experience a plus.

This position leads IBM Design Thinking sessions working closely with our stakeholders (deal teams) to assist in the creation of strategic messaging and the development of winning proposal strategies.

Candidate will be responsible for RFP analysis, administering proposal processes, and providing guidance and assistance to Content Writers, Information designers and contributors.

Candidate will be responsible to prepare the deal teams to present to the client, orals coaching experience preferred.


Analyze RFP requirements and develop compliance matrix, proposal schedule, proposal outline, and kickoff materials; lead IBM Design Thinking sessions in support to the deal teams to develop effective win themes and proposal design strategies; lead proposal kick-off, stand-up meetings, and team reviews; support proposal content working closely with the writer (i.e., Executive Summary, etc.) owns the communications with the opportunity owners, monitor solicitation developments (answers to questions, etc.) to keep content writers/teammates updated, revising proposal outline/schedule/etc. as appropriate.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 3 Years of experience in leading IBM Design Thinking sessions, proposal design and strategic messaging, management of deliverable design and production, and delivering on-time competitive proposals.

  • Strong organizational skills and time-management capabilities, as well as written and verbal communications skills.

  • Adept at leading a team of writers, designers, and other contributors responding to a complete proposal; lead orals coaching sessions, reflection (deal debrief/post mortem) and leading the development of storyboard/key messages.

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Project Management experience.

  • IBM Design Thinking Coach; Story Telling / Strategic Messaging (Client Centric).
