New York University Visiting Faculty, Tandon MAE Dept. in Brooklyn, New York

The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering invites applications for a full-time, non-tenured, visiting faculty position in Mechanical Engineering, at the level of Assistant Professor, with a start date of September 1, 2023.

The Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department invites applicants for classroom and laboratory teaching and project/thesis mentoring in Robotics and Mechatronics. The successful candidate should be an excellent teacher and must be able to mentor projects/theses in support of our MS program in Mechatronics and Robotics and undergraduate courses in our Robotics minor. Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in engineering closely related to Robotics and a substantial record of industrial experience and/or teaching in these areas.

We invite applicants for classroom and laboratory teaching in all areas closely allied with Robotics. The candidate should be an excellent teacher with a Ph.D. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or other discipline related to Robotics, and a record of industrial experience and/or teaching in Robotics.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary (9-month) range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
