Department: Intercampus Transportation

Campus: Rose Hill (RH) - Bronx

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director of University Transportation, the Assistant Director is responsible for assisting in supervising a multi-faceted University Transportation service transporting 230,000 passengers annually. This position schedules and monitors all services of the department which includes the intercampus transportation shuttle, airport services, charter services, and athletic trip requests. This position requires evening and weekend work.

Essential Functions:

Assists the Director supervising a multi-faceted University Transportation service transporting 230,000 passengers annually.

Oversees our charter service operations by reviewing requests, generating quotes, sourcing drivers, and answering any questions from all parties.

Coordinates the operation and provides on-site supervision of morning, afternoon, weekend, and or evening shifts of Fordham’s intercampus shuttle service.

Trains both written and road tests on the safe operation of a 15-passenger van. Coordinates with the Director on department operations, including customer service, account management, safety training, DMV regulations and license checking, compliance, scheduling, and communications.

Serves as a spokesperson for the department at major University events.

Organizes data with our online reservation system, fleet management, and personnel file platforms.

Responds to emergency situations promptly, such as student worker issues and vehicle accidents.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree

A minimum of 2 years of experience in the transportation or logistics field

Preferred Qualifications:

Relevant graduate school

Minimum Salary: $62,400

Maximum Salary: $72,585
