Signature Healthcare’s Brockton Hospital is hiring for a Full-Time Flex Varied Physical Therapy Aide in Brockton, MA.

Physical Therapy Aide Roles and Responsibilities:

Essential functions include activities in which incumbent must convey and receive detailed or important instructions to and from patients, associates, volunteers, visitors, and other professional and non-professional groups including the following capabilities:

  • Provides general non-technical assistance to the rehabilitation services department.

  • Prepares and maintains all rehabilitation areas for patient care - linen, supplies and equipment.

  • Responsible for maintaining supplies for all areas and disciplines

  • Prepares equipment and provides assistance with set up as directed by professional staff.

  • Assists registered staff in patient treatments as directed

  • Demonstrates profiency in scheduling

  • Maintains departmental records including filing, daily preparation, discharge logging and medical record requests

  • Assures attendance to scheduled appointments via reminder calls as needed

  • Manages consignment equipment program as needed

  • Performs various clerical duties including filing, faxing, photocopying, and answering telephones.

  • Participates in Lean programs

  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.

  • Set up Stratus for required patients.

  • Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment.

  • Commits to recognize and respect cultural diversity for all customers (internal and external).

  • Communicates effectively with internal and external customers with respect of differences in cultures, values, beliefs and ages, utilizing interpreters when needed.

  • Maintains daily work flow setting priorities, using established procedures, to assure timely completion of assigned work in conformance with established department policies and standards. Resolves routine problems, referring unusual problems to Manager of Rehab Services.

    Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the primary responsibilities. Required to push/pull and lift in excess of 25(50) lbs. Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, move and squat during working hours.
