  • Responsible for capturing the client needs through the development of User, Stakeholder, Operational, System and Subsystem requirements.

  • Accountable for the development of the Requirements Management Approach through associated plans and processes aligned to the WSP SI:D 3 Methodology

  • Design and implementation of requirements databases using industry standard tools such as DOORS

  • Management of the requirements baseline through the life of the project and the system, including change control

  • Capturing the verification and validation information, ensuring progressive demonstration of requirements linked to tests and results.

We have a well-established team located in vibrant areas of London, Birmingham, Manchester and Bristol. We aim to provide a consistent service and overarching culture across our locations, whilst encouraging each location to adapt to the specific needs of our local clients and our people. Central to this is our location representatives who are responsible for developing the local team culture and will support you in embedding into the local team.

Our size and geographical representation makes us uniquely able to provide opportunities to develop your career across different areas of interest whether it be business, operations, project or technical expertise focus – no matter your location. We are primarily Rail focused with experience of integration and assurance across all the major UK rail projects, delivering work at all levels from Sponsor to contractor and across the lifecycle. We are now seeing growth in technology and energy sectors as well as demand from overseas for our expertise. We are confident that we have the project portfolio, expertise and opportunities to support you in developing the next stage of your career

  • A degree in a technical engineering related discipline, or relevant experience.

  • Chartered status with a relevant professional body for senior grades or can demonstrate working towards Chartered status for junior grades.

  • Experience in requirements development and management

  • Experience in applying various Requirements Management tools (e.g. DOORS)

  • Preference for railway knowledge including but not limited to stations, rail systems and rolling stock

  • Familiarity with requirements best practice such as traceability, acceptance criteria and change control.
