OSHA 30 – Required To Perform Work
CDL – encouraged to obtain during program
Valid Medical Card – required for driving SMC Vehicles
How SMC Apprenticeship Works
Safety Marking’s Apprentice Program is based on the traditional apprenticeship model. Apprentices are hired without prior experience and given the opportunity to earn and learn. Our program encompasses:
a total of 6000 hours of On-The-Job Training (OJT)
a minimum of 100 hrs. of Related Instruction per year at on-site training facility
a hybrid-curriculum of Operational Excellence, Application-Specific Equipment, and Workplace Professionalism training coursework
a graduated pay-scale with 10% increases after each 1500 hrs. of OJT
