ManTech Network Administrative Technician in Bremerton, Washington

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Network Administrative Technician to join our team in Bremerton, WA.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Installation of network infrastructure to support classified & unclassified networks on Naval Installations, Ships, & Submarines primarily in Bremerton, WA with potential travel both CONUS & OCONUS.

  • Experience in building, extending, troubleshooting, and repairing network copper/fiber infrastructure using Fluke testing equipment

  • The ability to read and understand network CAD drawings along with the knowledge to connect routers, switches, Servers, Wireless Access Points, RFID Readers, Media Converters and adapters used on the network

  • Understanding of industry standards in the area of infrastructure installation, and testing in an industrial/Data Center environment

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma and One (1) or more years of related experience.

  • Knowledge of testing and repairing CAT5E and CAT6 copper as well as testing both Multimode 62.5, 50 micron and Single Mode fiber

  • Knowledge of building codes and procedures for installing copper and fiber in various locations and environments

  • Abe to work in overheads, raised floors, trailers and temporary building sites

  • Need to have experience installing OSP and ISP fiber in manholes and building telecommunication closets

  • Knowledge of redline drawings for buildings and manholes systems

  • Ability to read blue prints and CAD drawings as well update any changes made to the drawings.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Network infrastructure documentation experience

  • General knowledge of switches and media convertors

  • Fiber and/or copper certifications

  • Confined spaces experience as well as fall protection training

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have an active Secret clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

  • Able to lift and carry equipment weighing 50 lbs, work in small spaces and at varying heights using ladders and various lifts

  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  • Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.

  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

  • May be asked to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment.

The projected compensation range for this position is $51,400-$86,300. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
