Job Description
WHEN YOU JOIN US YOU WILL BE;
Daily dispatch of loads and aligning to commitments made with area logistics leads
Drive the daily executions of the IKO logistics routine to meet established KPI goals
Ensuring accountability through routine follow-up
Planning for success inside tactical window
Working closely with plant and vendor shipping leads to execute the aligned plan on a daily basis
Expected multiple communication points daily with key contacts both verbal and written
Build relationships with counterparts at carrier and vendor partners to improve the outlook for IKO
Expediting and follow-up on all pickup and delivery in service areas
Performs all other duties as required.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE;
Degree preferred.
Additionally, a Supply Chain / Logistics professional designation would be an asset
Strong work ethic and ability to handle multiple priorities and a wide variety of tasks under pressure to meet deadlines, all with a sense of urgency and flexibility
Superior critical thinking and analytical skills with the ability to identify problems, resolve issues, mitigate risks, and initiate continuous improvements initiatives
Requires strong planning, and execution skills
Superior communication skills to develop effective working relationships with peers, customer service, and plant operations to maximize efficiencies across the organization
Must be computer literate with ability to create and update detailed spreadsheets
