Job Description
We are currently seeking a Co-Op student to join our Logistics team. We are looking for a student who is available to start May 6th, 2024, for a duration of 4 or 8 months. This position is 100% in-person at the job site located at 84 Orenda Road in Brampton, Ontario. We appreciate all interest in IKO Industries Ltd. and this position, however, only students will be considered for this role, it is not open to graduates.
This is a paid position offering an hourly salary between $21-$24 per hour.
When You Join Us You Will Be
Drive the daily execution of the IKO logistics routine to meet established KPI goals.
Daily/Weekly dispatch of loads and aligning to commitments made with area logistics leads.
Ensuring accountability through routine follow-up
Planning for success inside tactical window
Working closely with plant shipping leads and customer service team to execute the aligned plan on a daily basis.
Expected multiple communication points daily with key contacts both verbal and written.
Build relationships with counterparts at carrier partners to improve the outlook for IKO.
Expediting and follow-up on all pick-up and delivery in service areas
