Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Corporate Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Brampton, ON. In this position, you will work in a multidiscipline engineering team to execute capital expenditure and plant maintenance projects of varying sizes.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate mechanical and electromechanical systems and products applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials.
Consult and negotiate with plant engineers to prepare specifications, explain proposals and present engineering reports and findings
Work alongside engineers from all disciplines in capital investment projects
Contribute to the development of mechanical engineering deliverables
Support IKO’s core values and leadership behaviours
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
10+ years of experience working in a similar role
Ability to work effectively within a team environment
Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Power Point
Ability to develop schematics in Autocad is a plus
P.Eng. in Ontario is required
