ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The position of Senior Commercial Loan Administrator plays an important role for the Bank. With responsibility for commercial loan documentation and administration, the Senior Commercial Loan Administrator is a critical part of the Bank’s lending function.
The position of Senior Commercial Loan Administrator involves, among other responsibilities outlined below, managing most all administrative and documentation aspects of producing various loans, working with the Relationship Managers, Loan Originators and other Lending personnel from the time an application is received until the loan is closed, paid off, and released.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Leadership
Provide leadership and support for all aspects of the loan operations department including loan documentation and administration.
Train loan administration team and other bank personnel on loan systems and procedures when necessary and as appropriate.
Commercial Loan Administration and Compliance
Assemble and prepare all loan closing documents for commercial and construction loans including but not limited to C&I, CRE, SBA, etc., ensuring accuracy and compliance. Documents to be produced utilizing the LASERPRO documentation system.
Research, prepare documentation and create solutions for non-standardized and / or complex loan structures.
Review loan documents for accuracy and compliance in addition to confirming that pricing and
program guidelines have been met.
Serve as a point of contact between all parties in the commercial and construction closing transaction including communication with the title company, flood insurance provider, insurance company, SBA facilitator, attorney, etc. in order to gather all necessary information for accurate document preparation and facilitate the coordination of the closing.
Assist Relationship Manager(s) with loan closings and perform official notary duties as needed.
Manage the funding and disbursement of assigned loan transactions.
Successfully interact with loan operations staff to improve procedures and overall efficiency within the department.
Work closely with the loan administration team to ensure the accurate and complete retention of all loan documents.
Handle routine administration of commercial and construction loan accounts (including the setup of automatic loan payments, monitoring and following up on all past due loan payments, loan advances, file maintenance, post-closing documentation, tickler tracking/maintenance, etc.).
Process loan payments including participations and advance requests.
Contact clients and various related third parties to clear technical expectations for outstanding loan documentation.
Process construction and/or floor plan draws and communicate with customers as questions arise.
Coordinate appraisal ordering through 3rdparty vendor and act as liaison between vendor and Relationship Manager(s).
Successful completion and implementation of special projects relating to the loan operations functions.
Regulatory
Help facilitate the gathering of files and other documentation required for regulatory examinations, external audits, and other quality control file reviews.
Serve as the secondary contact for loan compliance audits and exams, facilitating the transmission of requested files to the various auditing entities.
In coordination with the AVP of Loan Operations, conduct various assessments and audits to ensure department policies and procedures are achieving accurate and desired results.
Develop, implement, and update loan operation processes and procedures to ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations and internal compliance requirements.
Keep up-to-date and adhere to all bank procedures, required bank compliance training, and required Federal and/or State rules and regulations related to lending activities.
Reporting
Assist with the production and maintenance of various reporting documentation produced from core systems (AccuSystems, iCore, etc.).
Manage the exception reports produced by AccuAccount, following up with clients and / or lending staff members to ensure exceptions are addressed in a timely manner.
Client Experience
Provide effective customer service by answering customer questions; investigates and corrects errors; and resolves problems or other issues.
Liaise between borrowers and personal bankers to encourage the cross selling of other bank products as appropriate for the client.
Maintain a professional work environment, demeanor and business-like appearance.
Perform other related duties periodically as required and assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS
At least five years of related experience and/or educational experience in commercial documentation and operations. Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, should be commercial lending related. Prefer previous loan administration experience in a banking financial institution.

Advanced experience, knowledge and training in loan operation / documentation activities, terminology and related products and services.
Advanced knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations, and other Bank operational policies.
Intermediate to advanced level of knowledge with Microsoft Office products is preferred (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience with one or more of the following (or similar) software products is preferred: DCI iCore core system, Finastra LaserPro documentation software, and AccuSystems documentation retention software.
Advanced math skills suitable to working in a bank environment.
Current Colorado driver’s license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
Courteous social skills to welcome visitors in a business environment.
Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, and communicate clearly to clients and employees.
Ability to regularly address and resolve problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.
Effective organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The position’s pay range starts anywhere between $70,000 and $83,000 annually
