Medical Services at CU Boulder encourages applications for a Dietitian! This is an 80% part-time position that is eligible for benefits. This role delivers comprehensive nutritional services including assessment, education, therapy, plan of care, and the promotion of nutrition health and wellness in the Physical Therapy and Integrative Care (PTIC) department. The position will also attend and participate in department and organization meetings and assist with ancillary projects and outreach events when assigned. Represent nutritional services and the PTIC department on assigned committees.

The Medical Clinic provides a wide range of health care services for students including: primary care for illnesses and injuries, as well as chronic conditions, physicals, sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment, allergy shots, vaccinations, travel health care, and concussion care.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Patient Care:

  • Provide nutrition assessments and education.

  • Order appropriate labs per Medical Services (MS) guidelines.

  • Complete accurate and timely EHR documentation and charges for all patient interactions.

  • Seek appropriate consultations for clients and use referral process.

  • Communicate/collaborate with other health care providers (internal and external).

  • Aim to incorporate clinical expertise, patient values and current best evidence into clinical practice.

Administration, Projects, Outreach:

  • When assigned, attend and participate in PTIC department meetings, MS meetings, and Diversity events/programs.

  • Participate in completing competencies of colleagues.

  • Participate in quality improvement activities and in MS committee activities as assigned.

  • Understand the operations of Health & Wellness within CU Boulder.

  • Participate in policy and procedure/guideline developing, drafting, editing, and revising as assigned.

  • Participate in campus community outreach programs and events as assigned. Assume other related responsibilities as needed and assigned.

What You Should Know

This is a primarily in-person, 80% position with an anticipated work schedule between the hours of Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm in the fall/spring and 7:30 am - 4:30 pm in the summer. This role is not expected to work University recognized holidays or evenings and will not be on call at any time.

What We Can Offer

The salary range for this 80% position is $43,264 - $49,587.20.

What We Require

  • A bachelors degree from an accredited college.

  • Registered Dietitian with credentials from CDR (Commission on Dietetic Registration) by 3 months of hire.

  • BLS Certificate within 3 months of hire.

What You Will Need

  • Experience with patient charting using electronic medical records.

  • Basic functional computer skills (experience with Windows based systems).

  • Good communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.
