What a typical day will look like
The Senior Reinsurance Claims Executive is responsible for the management of facultative claims for financial lines and liability with reporting to the head of claims and to lead an analyst.
Receive claims notices and manage the reporting to the reinsurers, as well as the follow-up of their progress, manage the recoveries of concepts approved by the reinsurers and paid by the insurers and validate the application of the payments.
Review the coverage context of the claim, provide the ceding insurer and/or direct client with an opinion on the claim and accompany the management of the claim with meetings with the insurer, adjusters and the markets.
Follow up on requests for information from reinsurers.
Attend direct clients' queries and provide training on financial lines and liability lines to them and to the insurers.
Skills and experience that will lead to success:
Experience: 4 years of work experience in roles related to the insurance or reinsurance industry and/or in the management of liability or financial lines claims either as litigation or in-house counsel or adjuster.
Technical knowledge: financial lines insurance (Banking, IRF, RCE, Cyber among others) and ideally reinsurance in these lines.
Studies and/or specialties: Professional graduate in law.
Technological tools: office tools, ideally if you have intermediate excel.
