The Global Digital Marketing Lead plays a pivotal role in driving strategic marketing initiatives and ensuring best practices across digital marketing functions (specifically paid search and paid social). This individual oversees the development and execution of key projects , collaborates with regional teams and establishes frameworks to optimize digital marketing efforts. The Digital Lead serves as a subject matter expert in digital marketing including technologies and methodologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategy articulation: Work to implement strategic initiatives to enhance digital marketing capabilities, aligning both the business requirements and agency delivery.

  • Strong understanding of marketing automation platforms (eg: Eloqua, Marketing Cloud)

  • Experience with developing content syndication strategies and publisher partnerships

  • Best practice: Establish and maintain best practices for various digital marketing channels but predominantly paid search and paid social.

  • Knowledge sharing: Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions, workshops, and training programs to educate team members on trends across regions, new capabilities and increase collaboration.

  • Performance analysis: Monitor and analyze digital marketing performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and challenge the agency in order to generate an action plan for improvement. Budget oversight and management included.

  • Stability: In future perhaps, this could be innovation and keeping up to date with industry, but for 2024 the goal needs to be consistency of strategy and approach to delivering the digital marketing activities required.

  • Advocacy: Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, senior management, and external partners to offer clarity on the Center of Excellence and what digital marketing initiatives are delivering for the business.

  • Technical proficiency in paid search and social platform algorithms, creative optimization levers and broader understanding of industry trends. (e.g. Google Ad Manager, Microsoft Advertising, Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Demandbase)

  • Experience implementing a full funnel testing strategy focused on improving conversion throughout the buyer journey

  • Experience using attribution modeling

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in applicable field.

  • 10+ years marketing experience

  • 5+ years experience working in (or with) a media agency

  • 5+ years leadership/management experience with a track record of managing and coaching teams

  • Technical proficiency in paid search and social platform algorithms, creative optimization levers and broader understanding of industry trends. (e.g. Google Ad Manager, Microsoft Advertising, Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Demandbase)

  • 12+ years marketing experience including 5+ years people/team management

  • Strong partnering - internal and external leadership

  • Exposure to Budget Management, Agency management, Project management, resource planning, and Event management

  • Drive results and execution

  • Effective delegation to appropriate specialists

  • Strong partnership with sales

  • Calm under pressure

  • Accountable for results, transparent with peers & staff

  • MAP, DAM, CRM

  • Inquiry management & lead routing systems

  • Digital marketing - SEO, SEM, Social, Display, Tagging

  • Basic understanding of portfolio for effective events execution

  • Ability to thrive in matrixed organization environment
